NHL Prospect...

Remember Tonya Harding?

Well she's in the news again... and again, it's for all the wrong reasons.

This is the gal that received a LIFETIME ban from competitive figure skating because she tried to have her U.S. competitor, Nancy Kerrigan 'whacked' from the 1994 Winter Olympics. Seriously. She actually hired someone to break Nancy Kerrigan's legs!

You know the rest of the story there. Nancy persevered and won the Silver Medal, and Tonya Harding received the scorn of a nation.

So... what do you do if you're banned for life from figure skating?
That's easy. You get into professional women's boxing!

Here's a great example of someone who completely missed their calling in life. I mean, you gotta play to your skills right? So if Tonya Harding had the ability to skate & box... then why on earth is she not playing Hockey for the Vancouver Canucks? Someone ought to find Tonya's Career Guidance Counselor and tell him/her that Tonya Harding could be making millions of dollars in the NHL right now. I can totally picture it right now... Tonya holding the Stanley Cup over her head with her missing teeth and bruised cheek. Think about how many kneecaps she could have taken out by now if she were in the NHL? That's a shame.

Recently, Tonya made headline news again when she apparently called 911 to report that... aww heck, you just have to read it yourself. Here's a snippet from the article:

"Tonya Harding tussled in her home with a man she described as her boyfriend, prompting an emergency call by the figure skater-turned-boxer and an arrest of the man.

Christopher Nolan was charged with assault and pleaded not guilty Monday. He told deputies Harding threw him down and bit his finger when he said she had too much to drink on Sunday. The 27-year-old Nolan was ordered to stay away from Harding and to avoid alcohol.

Harding had a small cut over her right eye and an abrasion on her left cheek.

Initially, Harding called 911 and said she was attacked by two masked men who came to her home and assaulted her before she could escape.

Nolan said he and Harding were roommates."

What in the World!? The story makes no sense, which proves to me that these two were meant for each other. I think the Justice System is doing the public a disservice by separating Harding & Nolan. My goodness, think of all the other lives they will mess up if they don't have one another to pound on.
