What do you see?...

One of my friends who moved to Colorado sent me this picture of a neighborhood in the suburbs of Denver. He meant to show me how wonderful it was to live in a state where you experience the full spectrum of seasonal changes.

But as I stared at the picture, I saw a childhood memory... of a little boy blazing down the sidewalk on his big-wheel with the cold crisp wind blowing on his face and a flurry of colorful leafs in his wake.

Ahh, the joy of being a kid in the suburbs of Chicago. That's what I see.
